Iraqi & Gulf

On this course we focus on the dance styles from the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf.
The very powerful and energetic Iraqi style of dance is called Kawleeya, and it is based on the Roman culture, with influence from the neighbouring gulf countries. This style is different to classical belly dance, and it is challenging and exciting to learn. Here you will perform choreography that features fascinating moves, such as hair tossing, hops and shimmies! On this course you will learn:
